Midnight Feast

Soon after I was divorced I moved in with my grandparents. My uncle Darin was also living with them while he finished graduate school and he and Saralinda were dating/engaged. It seem like we would often gather at the kitchen table for a late night treat and a chat. It was so wonderful to have them here last month and we spent almost every evening at the kitchen table snacking and chatting. Two of my very most favorite things to do with two of my most favorite people. The fare this particular evening was quite comical. Saralinda and I had cereal with fresh berries and Darin enjoyed a savory chicken carcass. Not one of our chickens mind you, just one I had roasted for dinner. I just love these guys and our tradition of late night treats at the table.

I was trying to figure out what your uncle was eating:) I'm really glad he waan't the cause of some of your missing chickens! I love gathering in the kitchen for snacks late at night after the kids have gone to bed and can't eat off your plate:)
