Savoring Summer

We are having a GREAT summer!!! We have done everything on my list, haha I didn't make a list! Even better because now we have done WAY more than we planned on. But I will admit that I have started to think about back to school which is exactly four weeks from today. Crazy that the first day of school is only 28 days away. Alyna will be heading off to seventh grade. HOLY COW!!! Breathe!!! Caleb will be in first grade, and Calvin starts Kindergarten, YIPPEE! Truly I never thought the day would come when I would have more kids at school than at home. Crazy! I will reluctantly admit that it came faster that expected, and I will miss them, but at the same time I am excited for the new things they will learn and the adventures they will have. So I asked the kids today if there was anything they wanted to do before they went back to school and basically we have done it all. They are so easy to please. :0) I just love these guys. I love seasons, phases, eras. I am learning to FIND joy in all of them.

Welcome to blogger! I was asking my kids the same thing, it appears I'm the one that hasn't gotten to do everything I wanted. They're content.

Zach liked the pictures of Caleb without the tooth--Zach has two slightly loose ones. He was wondering what the tooth fairy ended up bringing him.

I found your new site! Yay! I am NOT ready for summer to end although the idea of getting back on to some sort of a schedule is appealing. I will MISS these warm summer days.

I'm with you, I do love the seasons and phases we experience in motherhood. Although I'm not quite ready for this one to be over, because my kids are totally off schedule right now and it will take awhile for me to get them back on track again for school. Less than 4 weeks? Yikes!

Yea! I'm glad to see all these posts and pictures. It looks like you've had an awesome summer!

And good for you-not making a list. If you don't have all those expectations you won't be disappointed with what you DO accomplish, right?
