OMSI

If you are having a bad day, here is what you do. Head to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and go to the chem lab and put on these ridicules goggles because you will not be able to help yourself, you will laugh out loud because you and everyone else in there just look plain old silly. This is my new strategy and thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Bell we can go there whenever our little hearts desire. Thank you for the fun Saturday outing and for the early Christmas present.

See what I mean they give you the giggles, even Grandpa thought they were pretty funny!
She wants me! I am her favorite!
Every summer I would spend a month with Grandma & Grandpa, and every year we made at least one trip to OMSI. This crazy mirror window thing was there even way back when, and I still am intrigued by it. Belle and I were on one side of the glass and Caleb and Alyna on the other. Weird huh.

In the October General Conference President Monson advised us to Find Joy in the Journey, "If you have children who are grown and gone, in all likelihood you have occasionally felt pangs of loss and the recognition that you didn’t appreciate that time of life as much as you should have. Of course, there is no going back, but only forward. Rather than dwelling on the past, we should make the most of today, of the here and now, doing all we can to provide pleasant memories for the future.
If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly.
Stresses in our lives come regardless of our circumstances. We must deal with them the best we can. But we should not let them get in the way of what is most important—and what is most important almost always involves the people around us. Often we assume that they must know how much we love them. But we should never assume; we should let them know. Wrote William Shakespeare, “They do not love that do not show their love.”3 We will never regret the kind words spoken or the affection shown. Rather, our regrets will come if such things are omitted from our relationships with those who mean the most to us.

I am grateful for this moment in time that we were able to create and recall pleasant memories with people that we love. Hugs!

I am going to print out that quote and put it on my fridge! right now!
You have such wonderful grandparents. I love that they still take the time to visit you and treat you even though you're grown and have a family all your own.
