I am not one to spend a lot of time on my girls hair. I would love to be one of "those" moms but I feel like I am doing good just to get a comb through it. A few Sundays ago Josie was sick so I stayed home with her. Because I had a little extra time I braided Alyna's hair. She kept in all day and then took it out to wear it curly Monday morning. It was SO pretty! Just a nice wave, kind of inspired me to take a little time to do my girls' hair. Besides a cute new do, it was really nice to sit close to my not so little girl and run my fingers through her hair. It may just be that there are more benefits than just curly hair to taking a few minutes to do her hair. Go figure, that I am just catching on after almost 13 years.2.11.2009

oh my goodness I barely recognized Alyna in this photo! She is looking so grown up and beautiful! I do take time to fix Anna's hair, I just don't have the SKILL to do anything fancy. I look at those hair blogs and I'm just so amazed at what some women do.
Anna and I have graduated from hair sessions being a fight (mostly), so hopefully it will develop into good memories.

Alyna is growing up so fast, and is such a great girl. Consider yourself lucky that she still thinks "you're cool" and wants to be around you! I fear the day when my boys think I'm an embarassment!
What a pretty angle of Alyna - it's also kind of a scary angle because she looks so grown up - that is happening fast! Happy birthday to her on Friday.
