A sneak peak at the goodie that awaits you at the RS retreat! I am so excited!
This has been a very full week, nothing too exciting and yet some very exciting things going on. Last night I fell into bed tuckered out from a week of busy fun! I felt a little restless. as I thought about what it was that was keeping me awake, it occurred to me that I was feeling nervous about going to ward counsel (last week I was called to be the ward activity chairman) I told Mark that I was nervous and he said "Good. You know your being challenged then..." That wasn't what I had expected him to say and yet it got me thinking.
Often when I go to sleep the moon is shining in my window (which I LOVE!!!) and it reminds me of the Eric Carle book the Very Hungry Caterpillar. The book starts, by the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf. That's how I feel when I fall asleep in the moonlight. But when I said that last night I got the warms fuzzies all over and I thought of the end of the story about how the little egg eventually turns into a beautiful butterfly but along the ways he has to eats lots of things to make him grow. I feel like this week I have learned some new lessons about growth. It is a good thing, but it does have some uncomfortable parts as well.
I am learning from Lisa that there are some growing pains in being the mother of the bride.
I am learning a new calling that I am THRILLED about. I am learning that shopping with a 18 month old is not the brightest idea. I am learning that really... I am always learning. That's a good thing because I hope to become a whole lot more than what I am right now.
