Most of the home track meets this year were wet and cold. Actually the away track meets were also wet and cold. But Alyna still ran her heart out. I think she has done really well this year. It has been a tough year with the weather, some tough falls and shine splints. Even still, she loves it and puts her whole heart into it.
As much as I love watching Alyna run, I also love sitting with my friends and chatting in between races. Track really is a fun sport to watch, because you get to visit a lot and I love to visit.
Go blue shoes! This is one way we can pick Alyna out of a crowd...her electric blue shoes.
This year she focused on running both the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. On occasion she has also run the 4/100 meter relay and the 4/400 meter relay.
She is really working on getting her form down, with the hope that as she gets better there her time will naturally improve.
The little kids are troopers. They cheer, they play, they run up and down the bleachers they go hang out with Alyna's friends. It is great fun for all.
Most of the time, unless it is too rainy and cold and late and then we all start getting a little cranky. But mostly it's fun!
I remember when these girls were just little and now look they are growing up. 
The district meet is Friday! So exciting!!! I'll let you know how it goes.

A couple of our kids were in track and we loved it....but it was never cold....always hot!
Enjoy...they do grow up fast.
