September 1, 2011 and we are off to see who are teachers are, what our classrooms look like and what friends we have in our class. Typically the Thursday before Labour Day, the last weekend of summer the schools open their doors and let the kids and parents in for a back to school night. I would say this is our back to school tradition. The kids get all spiffed up, put on some of there new clothes and put their best foot forward. We visited McBride first to see who would be Belle's teacher...she was hoping for Mrs. McCartney and lucky Belle, she will spend the first grade in Mrs. McCartney's classroom.
She has several kids from her kindergarten class and a few friends that she made at recess last year. I was so pleased. She is going to have a great year!!
Ms. McCartney prefers her students to call her Ms. Mary, I'm good with that.
I thought it was sweet that Ms. McCartney had this collection of bells displayed just outside her classroom. We will definitely be adding a bell to her collection sometime this year.
She is a happy girl! I am a happy momma!!
