Snorkeling at Turtle Town & Molokini

A beautiful morning.  A bit chilly, especially in bathing suits with no towels.  No Towels, really?!
What were we thinking?

We hold hands when we snorkel.  So Sweet.

Molokini.
I was so cold at this point that we didn't stay in the water long.
I expected a lot of bright colored fish and lots of turtles, but found a surprisingly different scene.  The water was clear and blue green with thousands of black fish the size of a salad plate swimming just below the surface of the water.  The occasional yellow fish was striking against all of the blue and green and black.  It was a sight to behold.

A whale and her calf just 50 yards from the boat...Stunning.

{sigh} That first morning photo is just so beautiful! I love the light in the clouds and on the water. Snorkeling at Molokini is definitely on our list to do sometime.

It was really fun, however, we thought that the snorkeling right off of the beach by the westin was more intersting. I probably enjoyed the boat ride and the whale watching to molokini more than the actual snorkeling. Still, it was amazing.

Oh Maui, how I miss thee! And you too, Jenn! How fun that you and Mark got to go back to Maui ... I might just live there if I could. :) Hope all is going well for you guys! Todd and I were just saying the other night that we really need to catch up with you soon, and I couldn't agree more! Maybe when the weather gets warmer we could get together for a BBQ?
