I am thankful 4...

1. I am thankful for friendship. I have been abundantly blessed with friendship.

2. I am thankful that I have inherited my great grandma's incomplete, maybe silver plated set of silver. No matter, it brings a memory and tells a story.

"She wished, as they set the silver forks on the edges of their plates, that she had three sets of silver, that if anything happened to her they would each have that, a set of silver that had been their mother's, that would touch their fingers every day of their lives."
Meg Waite Clayton (Wednesday Sisters)

3. I am thankful for my mother. In the strangest way losing Christy has broadsided me with a renewed sense of lose and appreciation for my mom. I have always missed her and until recently hadn't thought of her missing me. Epiphanies come in the most peculiar places.

"And she said a prayer not to God, but to Jeff, to take special care of them if anything happened to her, to hug them every morning and kiss them every night and always always to remind them how much she loved them, how much she still loved them even if she couldn't be with them as they grew up."
Meg Waite Clayton (Wednesday Sisters)

4. With that I am thankful for the people that remind me that my mother loved me and still loves me. I will miss terribly Christy's reminders. Sorry, just working through it.

more hugs. :)
Isn't that book just wonderful? I love how it touches on so many real emotions and the nitty gritty parts of female relationships (motherhood, friendships, etc.) that are so so precious.
