I am thankful 4...

1. I am thankful for Mike, Christina, and Carter. It was so nice to have them visit. Last time they were at our house. There was no house, we had barely dug the foundation. They weren't married yet and obviously there was no Carter.

2. I an thankful for Carter. I am so glad he let me love him for a minute while his daddy was busy entertaining my kids on the four wheeler.

3. I am thankful for the priesthood. The morning that I took them to the airport was the morning of the ward fall festival, so I went by myself to take them and then to the church to start setting up. Just a mile or so from my house we came around the corner just as a young girl maybe 16 or 17 was getting out of her crashed up car with her face streaked with blood. It was alarming, but Mike really took the lead. We quickly pulled over, call 911 and then Mike just sat with this sweet girl until the paramedics came. As the paramedics finished strapping her to the gurney Mike quietly knelt among them and gave a very quiet, tender and powerful blessing. It was a moment I won't soon forget. I am thankful that in that moment I felt the reality of the priesthood, it's power. I applaud Mike for being willing and able to minister that blessing.

4. I am thankful for Christina. She is as beautiful inside as she is out. I inherited 5 wonderful sisters when I married Mark. I am a lucky girl!!!

Sweet post about your extended family. What a special moment to witness the priesthood at work on the side of the highway during such an intense situation.
