Alyna is running for ASB secretary and has to create a video for her campaign. Over spring break she gathered a few friends together to film a portion of her video. I can't even believe that she is going to be a senior next year.
As the girls gathered together and we blew up balloons, there was excitement and friendship and happiness. I felt so thankful for these beautiful, smart, strong, kind girls. For the part that they have played in Alyna's life and in turn our life.
I wanted to make sure we got a few really good shots 'cause once those balloons go there are no second chances. A little like I am feeling as she gets ready to "leave the nest". I hope I have given her all she needs, taught her enough, loved her enough...
...sigh.
What an absolute honor to have had these 17 precious years. Not that it has been smooth sailing always, but still, an amazing experience.
She is going to do great things!

and they're off...the balloons and my baby. It just goes quick.
But it's never really over. Because more fun and exciting things come along. And even when she has flown away she will still be mine and I am still hers and we are working towards together forever.
I vote for Alyna! Always have! Always will!!

This is the sweetest post ever! Such an exciting time for her . . . and I can only imagine what you're feeling as you're looking ahead to life one year from now! Yikes! She's a great girl - she is going to do awesome things.
I loved all these photos - the colorful balloons, girlfriends, and Alyna's cute smile. Oh, and I shouldn't forget . . . . the sunshine!
