Dying eggs

How the Habel's dye eggs;
1. Buy 1 dozen per person participating. I buy 5 dozen.
2. Don't hard boil your eggs, that's way too many hard boiled eggs to have around. Out of 5 dozen we only had 3 that broke.  Not too messy and we just scrambled them up when we are done.
3. Use vinegar and food coloring it works perfect. 2 T. vinegar, 1/2 cup warm water, 20 drops of color.
4. Set out the colors, take a few pictures and then walk away and let the fun begin, unless you are really calm cool and collected. I find that I enjoy it more from a safe distance.  If I am too close I just boss the kids around the whole time. Be careful, don't mix...etc.  This only applies to kids 5 and older.

These crazy kids make me HAPPY!

Colored eggs make me happy too!

Oh! I think it's fun to dye eggs blue and red for the fourth of July also! Maybe you could dye them all different shades of green for St. Patty's day, that would be fun.

What cute kids! And I love how the color turned out on your eggs -- I might have to try your mixture next year. We hard-boil our eggs, but then again we all love hard-boiled eggs so they go FAST!
